A tennis promoter father and a tour player daughter make TV news |
The Ashland, KY Father/Daughter team Jack Ditty, MD (tennis promoter) and Julie Ditty (WTA professional) will be featured on the Tennis Channel “Inside Tennis With The Koz” show.
Nestled along the banks of the Ohio River where the Bluegrass State meets neighboring West Virginia and Ohio and known as the birthplace of The Judds and Billy Ray Cyrus, Ashland has become a tennis regional tennis hotbed because of the efforts of the Ditty family. Jack Ditty, a dedicated dermatologist, has taken his life-time passion for the sport and passed it on to his family and community. “It was electrifying to witness this tennis zealot work indefatigablely on this event. He has promoted this tournament to one of the most popular stops on the circuit”, reported Dave “Koz” Kozlowski, host of the Tennis Channel original series show. “He also has been able to develop some world-class tennis talent.”
Julie, one of the most successful women to ever play on the USTA Pro Circuit, won a total of eight titles in 2006 in singles and doubles. With these victories, the former Vanderbilt All-American, has captured a combined 25 USTA Pro Circuit titles during her career and is second in the all-time list of circuit winners.
Rounding out the awarding winning 30-minute magazine style show will be a Cardio Tennis segment presented by Luke Jensen and highlights from the USTA Florida Junior Championships.
