Wozniacki at Ease
Without No. 1
Now
No. 4 Caroline Wozniacki seems to be relieved that she does not have
to answer questions in regards to being a Slam-less No. 1 anymore.
Wozniacki, who spent 67 weeks in the top spot before losing it to new
No. 1 Victoria Azarenka at the Australian Open, has spent the past
couple of weeks training with her boyfriend, the golfer Rory McIlroy.
After
Davis Cup Win, Hewitt Eyes Olympic Spot
After
wrapping up a 3-0 swamping of China for Australia in Davis Cup zonal
play, Lleyton Hewitt is starting to eye a possible place in the London
Olympic tournament this summer after the 30-year-old and Chris Guccione
completed the victory in doubles.
Now the pair who
impressed captain Patrick Rafter are dreaming of a wild card to the
Games. "We're not in the Olympics at the moment so it's not my first
priority," said Hewitt, who also won his singles rubber to start the
tie.
Evans
Shines for British Davis Cup Victory
There
are not too many Englishmen who have been ecstatically cheered as a hero
by fans in Glasgow, that stronghold of Scottish fervor, but Daniel Evans
achieved the feat after two dramatic and totally unexpected victories
that handed Britain Davis Cup victory against the Slovak Republic.
Murray
Shooting for Third Victory at Queen’s
Rafael
Nadal has defected to the rival German tournament in Halle, Roger
Federer might love Wimbledon but has never even played on Queen’s Club’s
grass and Novak Djokovic is still fine-tuning his summer schedule but
Andy Murray has committed to play the AEGON Championships in the build
up to Wimbledon and intends to become the first British player in 87
years to win the title three times.
