Success Breeds
Success for Federer
Roger
Federer is ready for another big push as the Swiss enters the Miami
Masters with titles in six of his last eight tournaments and confidence
rising sky-high. After hammering John Isner to win Indian Wells on some
of his best form in years, the 30-year-old is keen to wrap up the US
hardcourt run with more success in Miami, which he won in 2005-06.
Murray Undecided
About Davis Cup Play With Belgium
Andy
Murray is unlikely to decide on whether to travel to Scotland for next
month's Davis Cup tie for Britain until he sees how well he does at the
Miami Masters. The ATP tournament is key for Murray, who is fast
dropping behind as world No. 4 with No. 3 Roger Federer winning six of
his last eight tournaments and gaining ground on his leading rivals
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.
Laver, Casals and
Woodforde Honored at Indian Wells
From
Rod Laver's Grand Slams to Mark Woodforde's record-setting doubles
career, and Rosie Casals' 100-plus titles and her efforts to develop the
women's pro game, each of these tennis legends had immense success in
the sport and were instrumental in shaping the history of tennis. In
recognition of their achievements, all three were presented the highest
honor in the sport- induction to the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
