Singles - Quarterfinal: (2) Maria Sharapova def. (8) Li Na 6-3 6-0
Apparently the bad Li Na of last fall is back.... Still, she has at least a shot at moving up to #7. It's progress. Maria Sharapova will not move above #2 this week, but she now has more than a 500 point lead on Petra Kvitova. That's a lot of insurance points....

Singles - Quarterfinal: (6) Caroline Wozniacki def. (10) Serena Williams 6-4 6-4
The good news for Serena Williams is, she's back in the Top Ten. But #10 is as high as she will go. She was really struggling here, and couldn't seem to do much of anything against Caroline Wozniacki's serve until very late in the match, by which time it was too late. If Wozniacki can win her next match, she will return to the Top Five.

Doubles - Second Round: (5) Kirilenko/Petrova def. Kuznetsova/Zvonareva 6-1 7-5
Kirilenko/Petrova are a round behind most of the rest of the field, but they're the top team left; this looks like a big opportunity.

Doubles - Quarterfinal: (6) Errani/Vinci def. Makarova/Zheng 6-3 6-3
Errani/Vinci are the other serious contenders here. They tend to prefer smaller events, though.
