Nadal and Federer Split on Differences of Opinion

The united front presented on the ATP by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal has apparently dissolved, with the frustrated Spaniard reportedly quitting his post as vice-president of the Player Council in recent weeks.

 

 

Marino Takes a Break From the Tour to Recharge Herself

After achieving just one quarter-final in the 14 months since reaching the Memphis final in February, 2011, burnt-out Canadian Rebecca Marino has stepped away from the WTA to try and recharge her physical and mental batteries.

The 21-year-old gave no date of return from her self-enforced pause.

 

Fish is Looking for Tournament Respect

Mardy Fish wants some respect as the top American in the game.  He got his game together in recent seasons and cracked the Top 10 for the first time after 11 years of trying, is still not considered when it comes to the local prestige pecking order.

"Iíve worked very hard to put myself where I am: in the top 10, the top American in an American event ó two American events ó and I havenít played on stadium court,Ē he told the Miami Herald. "I donít want to play on the grandstand. I want to play on the stadium."
