In Estoril, Wawrinka is Getting Ready for Madrid

Swiss third seed Stanislas Wawrinka has been haunting the practice courts at the Estoril Open as he makes his debut. The No. 22 has made a solid clay start in 2012, reaching semi-finals in Buenos Aires and Acapulco in February and losing a Monte Carlo quarter-final to Rafael Nadal.

Del Potro Likes Cascais

Estoril Open defending champion Juan del Potro got has climbed to his bike for a quick tour of the Atlantic beachside resort town hosting players this tournament week. The Argentine who won the title a year ago over Fernando Verdasco had time on his hands as he waited for an opponent to emerge thanks to a first-round bye.

Del Potro and tournament second seed Richard Gasquet, losing finalist five years ago, put the pedal down for a brief photo-op bicycle tour on the cobblestone streets of Cascais where their luxury five-star hotel is located.

Bellamy Launches a Tennis Website

Steve Bellamy, the founder of The Tennis Channel is running The Ski Channel now, but his company Atonal Sports and Entertainment has launched a new website devoted to giving tennis insiders a place to discuss issues.

tennisinsiders.com has forums, some feature content and polls. One opening feature article is with Kurt Kamperman, the CEO of USTA Community tennis.
