Singles - Second Round: (3) J Nieminen def. (Q) A Veic 6-3 4-6 6-3
Just what Jarkko Nieminen did not want on a day when he had to play two matches in one day: A long match against a weak player, with a tougher one waiting....
Singles - Quarterfinal: (1) P Andujar def. L Rosol 6-4 6-3
This might take Pablo Andujar as high as #36, although he won't have much more room for 250s after this.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (2) A Seppi def. (8) G Muller 6-4 6-3
Andreas Seppi is up to around #40. He needs perhaps 150 more points to earn a Roland Garros seed.
Singles - Quarterfinal: B Paire def. (3) J Nieminen 0-6 6-2 7-5
Pretty clear that Jarkko Nieminen ran out of gas here.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (4) D Nalbandian def. J Souza 6-3 6-2
This should take David Nalbandian back above #45. Make the final and he will be Top Forty.
Doubles - Quarterfinal: (2) Lipsky/R Ram def. Kerr/Sela 6-3 6-3
Doubles - Quarterfinal: (3) Erlich/A Ram def. Dodig/Veic 6-3 2-6 10-7 (Match TB)
Singles - Quarterfinal: (1) J del Potro def. (7) A Montanes 6-2 6-2
One more win and Juan Martin del Potro is back to #11. And he obviously looked good here.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (2) R Gasquet def. (Q) D Munoz-de la Nava 7-6(7-1) 6-2
One more win and Richard Gasquet assures that he will stay #18.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (3) S Wawrinka def. (6) R Haase 6-1 6-4
Stanislas Wawrinka is starting to add points, but he needs a title to hit the Top Twenty. He leaves Robin Haase around #40.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (4) A Ramos def. (WC) J Sousa 6-2 6-3
This should spell another career high for Albert Ramos -- perhaps as high as #38, and certainly Top Forty.
Doubles - Quarterfinal: (1) Qureshi/Rojer def. Huey/Inglot 4-6 6-4 10-5 (Match TB)
Doubles - Quarterfinal: Elgin/Istomin def. Brunstrom/Marx 6-4 6-4
Doubles - Semifinal: (1) Qureshi/Rojer def. Gasquet/Roger-Vasselin 6-3 6-1
Singles - Quarterfinal: (2) F Lopez def. (5) B Tomic 6-4 6-2
It's going to be a very close thing for Bernard Tomic. We'd guess he'll make the Top Thirty -- but not by much.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (3) M Cilic def. (6) M Youzhny 6-3 6-7(6-8) 6-3
It appears Mikhail Youzhny won't make the Top Thirty after all; he'll be two or three places short. Marin Cilic, who continues to make a slow but steady recovery, will very likely gain a ranking spot but remains below #20.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (4) P Kohlschreiber def. (Q) M Matosevic 6-0 7-6(7-5)
Youzhny may not make the Top Thirty, but it really looks as if Philipp Kohlschreiber will.
Singles - Quarterfinal: (WC) T Haas def. (8) M Baghdatis 6-1 7-6(7-3)
Marcos Baghdatis loses any chance to climb; it's just possible that he will fall out of the Top Forty, although it looks unlikely.
Doubles - Semifinal: (1) Cermak/Polasek def. (4) Cabal/Farah 1-6 7-6(7-5) 10-8 (Match TB)
