Djokovic Has Big Plans, But He is Quiet About Paris
Novak
Djokovic has big plans for the upcoming French Open, but the wise Serb
is keeping quiet about his chances of winning a fourth consecutive Grand
Slam trophy after sweeping the last three dating to Wimbledon last
summer.
The No.
1 is keen to win his fourth straight major but needs to get over the
hump in Paris, where he has lost in three semi-finals, "I cannot say I'm
not thinking about it," said the Serb. "There is the possibility to win
four grand slams in a row.
Nadal Eyes His Seventh Title at Paris
Rafael
Nadal now has his eye on the numbers after winning his sixth Rome title,
planning ahead for an assault on a seventh at Roland Garros when the
clay-court major starts at the weekend.
"Rome
is historical and it is for me very important to keep playing to keep
winning and I did today. This is a personal satisfaction," said Nadal.
Williams Was Fine, Is Fine and Will be Fine in Paris
Serena
Williams will be fine for the French Open in a week despite withdrawing
from her Rome semi-final with Li Na. The late decision threw the program
into chaos, with a re-scheduling of various matches required.
Williams admitted the pull was merely precautionary, but with Paris,
Wimbledon, the London Olympics and the US Open all on the horizon, she
didn't want to risk. "I'm fine, I'll be 100 percent for the French,"
said Williams who had not decided whether to stay an extra day in Rome
or head to her Paris flat. "I'm just living for the moment now."
