Queen’s Linesman Files Charges Against Nalbandian
The
Queen's club linesman whose shin was accidentally cut when irate David
Nalbandian lashed out with a kick at an advertising board has apparently
raised the stakes in the unfortunate incident by filing charges against
the 2002 Wimbledon finalist.
British Teenage Star Lives Close To The Championships
British
teenager Laura Robson admits she enjoys her home comforts during the
Wimbledon fortnight, with the 2008 junior champion confessing that
heading home after a day at the courts is one of her small pleasures.
"It's
more relaxing going home in the evening, I think. I completely switch
off," said the No. 111 who went out in the second round last year after
a pair of first-round defeats following her junior triumph.
McEnroe Advises Murray to Temper His Temper
John
McEnroe has some unsolicited advice on controlling temper tantrums to
give to Andy Murray on the eve of Wimbledon: don't let your temper spoil
your tennis.
"Anger
can be a positive force - but only when combined with control," the
53-year-old McEnroe said in a British radio interview. "Athletes should
be straightforward. If you use that anger in a positive way, where you
get yourself to try harder or dig deeper, it can be a good thing."

Names 2012 U.S. Paralympic Wheelchair Tennis Teams
The
USTA and U.S. National Wheelchair Tennis Team Coach Dan James today
announced the nine players who will represent the United States in the
2012 Paralympic Games in London, England September 1-8.
The
men’s team will be led by Stephen Welch (Southlake, Texas), Jon Rydberg
(Oakdale, Minn.), Steve Baldwin (San Diego, Calif.), and Noah Yablong
(Tucson, Ariz.). The women’s team
will feature Emmy Kaiser (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.),
and Mackenzie Soldan (Louisville, Ky.).
The quad team, led by David Wagner (San Diego, Calif.), and Nick Taylor
(Wichita, Kan.), and Paralympian Bryan Barten (Tucson, Ariz.).
