Officials Hope For Sharapova Appearance

International tournament officials have good cause to wonder if Maria
Sharapova will actually turn up for their event that begins in earnest
next Monday on December 31. After all, the world no.2 has twice
previously withdrawn from the calendar opening event and she cited a
sore neck for pulling out of Saturday’s scheduled exhibition match
against Caroline Wozniacki in Seoul.

Federer-To Replace Nadal In Abu Dhabi
Organizers
for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship this coming weekend in Abu
Dhabi approached Roger Federer to replace the ill Rafael Nadal in the
exhibition but the Swiss turned down the invitation.
Spaniard Nicolas Almagro will replace Nadal.
Kooyong Is
Holding A Spot In The Field For Nadal, If He Wants To Play
The
AAMI Classic at Kooyong Club is holding a spot in the eight-man
exhibition field open for Rafael Nadal after the Spaniard was forced by
ill health to give up on plans to play this week in Abu Dhabi. Nadal
could conceivably be a late entry into the pre-Australian Open exho in
Melbourne at the former home of the Open until the late 1980s.

daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to
venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of

positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact
