Zeballos In Shock After Defeating Nadal
Argentine
Horacio Zeballos was still in shock after his three-set comeback victory
which denied Rafael Nadal a clay title in Chile as the Spaniard returned
to tennis after more than seven months out injured.
McNamee Attacks Coaching Structure of Tennis Australia
After
a couple of crisis years, the future fortunes of Australian tennis
seemed to be taking a turn for the better after youngsters Nick Kyrgios
and Thanasi Kokkinakis contested the boys final in the recent Australian
Open and 16 year-old Ash Barty reached the final of the women’s doubles.
But former Australian Open tournament director Paul McNamee has attacked
the coaching structure adopted by Tennis Australia, describing it as
fatally flawed.
Bartoli Splits From Her Dad
The
parental coaching relationship between world no. 10 Marion Bartoli and
her father Walter, long one of the most criticised and combustible
double acts in tennis, is apparently no more.
Nadal Will Continue His Comeback Plan
Despite
losses in both singles and doubles finals in his comeback event on clay
in Chile, Rafael Nadal will soldier on with his return to tennis after
an absence lasting well into seven months.
