Federer Arrived In
California Early To Film Commercials for 2014
Roger
Federer has been a committed user of Wilson rackets ever since emerging
on the world tennis scene as a highly talented teenager 15 years ago.
Consequently one of his first tasks after arriving in California’s
Coachella Valley to defend the BNP Paribas Open title he won for the
fourth time a year ago, was to shoot some television commercials to
celebrate Wilson Tennis’ 100th anniversary that falls in 2014.

Puig just hired sport psychologist John Murray and in just two days,
she scored her first win over a top 10 player when she bested Andrea
Petkovic 7-6 (2), 6-3 to qualify for the BNP Paribas Open at Indian
Wells, the first premier level WTA event she has qualified for.

Berdych Joins Queen’s Line-up
The
2010 Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych has joined Andy Murray in
confirming that he will compete for the AEGON Championships title, June
10-16.
Voting Opens For 2013 Fed Cup Heart Awards
The
ITF announced a shortlist of ten players to receive the first four Fed
Cup Heart Awards of 2013. Julia Goerges (GER), Daniela Hantuchova (SVK),
Ayumi Morita (JPN) and Roberta Vinci (ITA) have all been shortlisted for
the World Group/World Group II award. Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) and
Heather Watson (GBR) have been shortlisted for Europe/Africa; Sharon
Fichman (CAN) and Paula Cristina Goncalves (BRA) for Americas; and Akgul
Amanmuradova (UZB) and Galina Voskoboeva (KAZ) for Asia/Oceania.
