At Home To Rest And Then Prepare For The Clay Season
the tennis focus shifts across the United States from Indian Wells to
Miami for the Sony Open, Rafael Nadal has set his sights on the familiar
terracotta shade of the European clay courts as he rests his knees for a
few weeks before beginning another campaign he hopes will again
underline his dominance of the surface.
Federer To Have A
Holiday And Then Begin Training
Federer's plan for a brief holiday followed by an intensive training
block at home in Switzerland appears to be on track despite a
quarter-final loss at the Indian Wells Masters. The world No. 2
confirmed that he will stick with his program even if it means being
away from the ATP for almost two months.
Murray Is Ready
For A Fresh Start
Murray is ready for a fresh start at the Miami Masters as the No. 3
tries to make inroads in the rankings against Roger Federer. The Scot's
quarter-final loss to Juan Del Potro in Indian Wells assured that
Federer will remain second in the world for the next few weeks.
She Is Ready For Miami
Williams, who pulled out of the Dubai Duty Free Championships citing a
back injury and continued her 11 years boycott of the BNP Paribas Open
in Indian Wells, insists she is motivated to return to action for
Miami’s Sony Open.
