Rafael Nadal is impressed that winning an eighth French

Open title now puts him in the chase for the year-end No. 1 ranking. The Spaniard who defeated David Ferrer 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 at Roland Garros, has dropped to fifth in the current ranking list, though, with Ferrer replacing him on fourth.

 

 

 

Claims Are Made That Integrity Unit Is Not Properly Equipped To Do Its Job

After the Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) announced yet another obscure player, in this case 1,158th ranked Dutchman Yannick Ebbinghau, had been snared, fined and suspended for violations of the sport’s rules anti-corruption rules, claims have been made that the specially formed body is not properly equipped to deal with the betting problem.

 

Nadal And The Bryan Brothers Qualify For ATP World Tour Finals

By virtue of his French Open championship, Rafael Nadal is the first player to qualify for a spot in the ATP World Tour Finals in London in November.

Additionally, Bob and Mike Bryan, have become the first doubles team to have qualified for the year-end event in London.

 

 

Murray Is Favorite To Win Queen’s This Week

After missing the French Open through injury Andy Murray makes his return to the tour  at this week’s Queen’s Club tournament where the Scot is a 15/8 favorite. Bookie Paddy Power has him at 9/1 to make it a double to win both Queen’s and his first Wimbledon title.

Sherwood Swim and Racquet Club, Greensboro, North Carolina seeks an assistant professional.

This is a full-time position involving teaching group lessons for players of all ages and levels. It also involves running leagues and helping organize social events.  Must be at least a 5.0 player.

The position has a base salary plus a percentage of private lessons and an hourly clinic rate.
