Maria Sharapova’s father Yuri has always been a fan of Jimmy Connors so it was no surprise that his daughter hired him as her new coach to replace Thomas Hogstedt.

The tears have dried after Sabine Lisicki's Wimbledon finals loss to Marion Bartoli, with the German runner-up now hoping she can carry her Wimbledon success forward. The 23-year-old spent downtime last week in Berlin, recharging her physical and spiritual batteries after the best week of her tennis life.

Nadal Scheduled To Play Montreal And Cincinnati

As speculation again begins about the state of Rafael Nadal’s troublesome left knee, the player’s uncle and coach Toni Nadal has confirmed the world no.4 who suffered the ignominy of a first round Wimbledon exit at the hands of Belgian Steve Darcis will contest both the Masters 1000 Series legs of the US Open series in Montreal and Cincinnati before Grand Slam action begins again at the end of August in New York.

The USTA/Midwest Section has an opening for the Digital Media Coordinator position. This is a fulltime position. The Digital Media Coordinator will lead all organizational efforts concerning social media. The position is responsible for all website administration including, but not limited to design, content development, and traffic analysis. This position will collaborate and work closely with other departments and committees to launch efforts that drive awareness of USTA programs and services, while increasing membership and participation.
