Watson Fires Coach Hadad

Britain’s Heather Watson maintains it was probably the toughest decision of her tennis life to sack Maria Sharapova’s former traveling coach Mauricio Hadad after disappointing results at the French Open and Wimbledon.




Federer still believes in himself; but back sore and unsure of new racket

Former No. 1 Roger Federer is frustrated with his level of play, but he hit back at those who say that his time as a major contender is over. Federer has only won one medium sized title this year, Halle, and recently took early round losses against Federico DelBonis In Hamburg and  Daniel Brands at the Swiss Open.

"I have no problem with criticism, but I expect us to be honest," the 31-year-old said. "This situation is not new for me. In 2009 and 2010 already, people said: 'He's won everything, now it's finished.' The more people that made that comment, the more likely that someone will be talking nonsense."


Cibulkova Is Playing Smarter, But According To Her,  Not Smart Enough

Dominica Cibulkova is a member of the 1989 generation, which has had a more than fair amount of success on tour. Victoria Azarenka, Aga Radwanska and Petra Kvitova have all cracked the top 5 and two of them have won Slams. Another member of her generation, Sabine Lisicki, just reached the Wimbledon final. Caroline Wozniacki is just a year younger than they are but they competed against in her in the juniors, and she reached No. 1. But Cibulkova has only reached one final four – at 2009 Roland Garros and has yet to even crack the top 10.


Haase Has Done Well In The Mountains

Holland's "mountain man" Robin Haase has gone down to defeat in a tournament final in the Alps, a 6-3, 6-4 victim of Mikhail Youzhny.

Altitude has been a friend for several seasons to flatlander Haase, who is this week bidding for claim a hat-trick of trophies in the Australian Alps at the famed ski resort of Kitzbuehel. He has won that ATP 250 clay event for the past two editions, the only titles so far of his career.

Tennis Dynamics manages the Laurel Park Tennis Center and we are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional individual to round out our current staff. The Laurel Park Tennis Center is located in Marietta, GA. The facility consists of 13 tennis courts. Our programs include junior and adult ALTA/USTA teams as well as Junior and Adult clinics during the week and weekends.  The ideal candidate will have collegiate playing experience and/or an NTRP rating of 4.5 or higher. The position will begin as part-time but could easily lead to a full-time position for the right individual. This individual will assist in implementing current programs and help create new programs. Professional certification preferred as well as strong playing skills. Candidates will also possess strong communication skills, positive attitude, excellent teamwork, desire to provide outstanding customer service, and a charismatic enthusiasm about the sport of tennis. Candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include weekend and potentially holiday hours. This position will receive an hourly rate for all clinics, lessons, and team practices taught. Racquet stringing and pro shop hours may also be part of this individual’s responsibility. Compensation is based on experience. A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
