Nadal Collects Another Grand Slam Event Title 

Rafael Nadal has now won 13 Grand Slam event titles, moving him to within just four of Roger Federer’s all time record and nudging the Spaniard from Majorca one behind Pete Sampras, but says winning this year’s US Open was the most moving after the injury travails of last year when many believed he was a spent force.

 

 

A Calm Serena Is A Winning Serena

Serena Williams has never been one to hide how she is feeling, but she has been very diligent as of late about keeping calmer on court, which is one of the reasons why she won her 17th Grand Slam event title at the US Open with a victory over Victoria Azarenka in the final.

She will scream out earthshaking ‘C’mons!’ on court, but also be as quiet as a mouse when thing get tight. That's exactly what fans saw in her three set win over Azarenka. First there was the in-your-face Serena. Then there was the demure Serena.

 

Murray Is Third Player To Qualify For London

The Scot has become the third player to qualify for the season finale, to be held at The O2 in London from November 4-11. Murray, who reached the quarter-finals at the US Open, secured his place at the season finale for the sixth straight year.
