Nadal Happy On Hardcourts, Except Indoors

http://www.tenniscelebs.com/images/getty/Nadal%202011%20Thinks%20124754245.jpg" width="100" height="66" align="left" hspace="5">Novak
Djokovic had a large contingent of fans in attendance during his four
set loss to Rafael Nadal in the US Open final, but the majority of the
crowd belonged to the Spaniard, who keeps growing in popularity.

“I know I was a good player on hard,” he said.
“That don't make a big difference on my career being better player or
worse player. I understand most of the people say I am a clay court
specialist, and is true because I won a lot of tournaments on clay. And
because I won that much on clay seems like other things are less, but I
was able to play five finals in Wimbledon, I think.  Five?  Yeah.  I was
able to play three finals in the US Open.  I was able to play two finals
in Australian Open to win.  I don't know, three Indian Wells, something
like this, three Canadian Opens.”

Murray Is Losing Fans For His Bad Attitude On
Court

http://www.tenniscelebs.com/images/getty/Murray%20Pleads%20101956728.jpg" width="100" height="80" align="left" hspace="5">British
tennis hero Andy Murray is copping home flack for what observers feel is
a part-angry, part-hangdog attitude during tense moments on court.

London's Independent makes no excuses for the
Wimbledon winner in a hard-hitting opinion piece which compares the
world No. 3 to a badly behaved child when things don't go his way on
court.

Djokovic Loses Again In US Open Finals

Djokovic may be starting to doubt himself, with the Serb now concerned
over his status as world No. 1 after losing the US Open final to surging
Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

Djokovic has played in the last four finals in New
York, but has come up with only one title, back in 2011 when he beat
Nadal.

USTA Honors Smith

USTA has announced that former US Open and Wimbledon singles champion
Stan Smith has been honored with the 2013 United States Tennis
Association’s President’s Award. The announcement was made at the USTA
Semi-Annual meeting last week at the Grand Hyatt in New York City.
