Rafael Nadal is the first to admit that his ten-title performance this season has taken a lot out of him, But there is little more than a fortnight for the world No. 2 Spaniard to rest and regain strength before he is due in China for a two-week run set for early October.

 

 

Great Britain Is Back In Davis Cup World Group, But Trouble May Lie Ahead

Britain was back in the Davis Cup’s World Group draw today but the nation’s tennis future could be thrown into disarray as Scottish Sports Minister Shona Robison maintains a ‘yes’ vote for independence in the referendum on September 18, 2014 would mean Scotland will press ahead with plans to have Olympic and Paralympic teams at Rio 2016.

 

USA Wins Six Super-Seniors Titles

American teams won six of 10 Cups at the 33rd International Tennis Federation (ITF) Super-Seniors World Team Championships, held September 9-14 in Austria and the Czech Republic.  The tournament is the senior tennis equivalent of the Davis Cup and Fed Cup competitions and this year consisted of 153 teams from 27 countries competing in 10 age categories from 60- and- over to 80- and- over.

 

Wozniacki Likes Chocolate When She Loses

It's not just marketable Maria Sharapova who attracts the attention from off-court gossip media. Former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki is also getting in on the act, telling Access Hollywood that she's got a sweet spot for chocolate - but only in case of defeat.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies.
