FINALS REVIEW - SIMON DENIES TSONGA THREE-PEAT; BRUNSTROM/KLAASEN TRIUMPH
ē    Gilles Simon won his second Metz title, turning back Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-4, 6-3 in his attempt to three-peat at the Moselle Open.
ē    World No. 16 Simon won the 11th ATP World Tour title of his career, 13 days after celebrating the birth of his second son, Valentin.
ē    The 28-year-old Simon
improved his winning streak in Metz to 9-0 after falling in the opening round in his first four appearances. He did not relinquish a set this week and was only broken twice all tournament.
ē    The World No. 8 Tsonga
was denied a place in history as the seventh active player to complete a three-peat on the ATP World Tour. Three players had already accomplished the feat this year, with David Ferrer winning in Auckland, Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open and Milos Raonic in San Jose.
ē    Johan Brustrom and Raven Klaasen upset home favourites Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Nicolas Mahut 6-4, 7-6(5), for their second title of 2013.
ē    I
t was the Swedish-South African duo's third final as a team, all coming this year and all on French soil. They fell in the Montpellier final, in February, but prevailed on the clay of Nice in May.

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Simon:
ďI was fighting a lot today. I saw that I had a chance and I managed to win. Iím very happy about that."

"
I cannot become a father every week. Itís a beautiful story for sure. Unfortunately my wife and children couldnít be here today. It was a great moment for me because I missed the birth of our first child and this time I was able to be there. I was very happy about that."

Tsonga: ďIím sad about losing the final today, but Iím happy with my week. Gilles was just better than me today. Heís a great player and he was very solid during the whole match. That shows the few imperfections that I still have in my game."

"I didnít have enough energy to make the difference against Gilles. But thatís normal. Iím just coming back and I still need some time. Iím happy that I got some matches under my belt this week and it was great playing doubles together with Nicolas Mahut."

Brunstrom: "We do not often play in front of such a big crowd. It was a great experience today."

"France has been really good to us this year. We love playing in France and will be back soon again!"
