Tomic To Be Barred From Australian Open

John Tomic may have escaped jail for his much publicized violent altercation with his son’s former practice partner in Madrid but he continues to be ostracized from the game and Tennis Australia has announced he will be blocked from attending next January’s Australian Open.



Injury Forces Nalbandian To Retire From The Tour

David Nalbandian, in the eyes of many respected judges, the finest all-court player in recent years never to have won a Grand Slam singles title, has announced his retirement at the age of 31 after a persistent battle to overcome a shoulder injury.



Troicki To Protest His Innocence In Anti-Doping Incident

Serb Viktor Troicki says he is hopeful that justice will somehow be served when he appears before the Court for the Arbitration of Sport on October 9 in Switzerland to protest his innocence in a controversial anti-doping incident last spring.




China Counting On Zhang Shuai  

China already has a Grand Slam singles champion in Li Na, but the country’s top singles player is aging and there is hope that Zhang Shuai will be the next player out of that country to have major impact on the tour. The 24 year old recently won Guangzhou and reached the final of Ningbo, pushing her ranking to a career high No. 66. Her compatriot, Zheng Jie, says that she has top 30 potential.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
