- Stosur wins her fifth WTA title and second of the
season, having also won Carlsbad. This is the first time
she has won multiple WTA titles in a season.

Bouchard is projected to surpass her career-high of

doubles title without surrendering a set all week.
Mladenovic wins her seventh WTA doubles title and fifth
this year, tying Sania Mirza for most in 2013. Pennetta
wins her 15th WTA doubles title and first
since the 2011 Australian Open.
Samantha Stosur: "Eugenie was playing really well
today. I just had to stick it out in the second set, and
I'm pretty happy with how things went in the third. I
love playing here. I love the site and the fans are
great - I always feel like I have lots and lots of
support when I come to Osaka."
