Federer Ends His Relationship With Annacone

Roger Federer had decided the time had come to split with coach Paul Annacone before he even set foot onto the plane taking him to China for his latest disappointment in the Shanghai Rolex Masters. The pair spent a couple of weeks preparing together at the tried and tested training base in Dubai and came mutually to the decision they’d achieved everything possible together.

Djokovic Determined To Regain Number One Ranking

Novak Djokovic's second Chinese title in as many weeks shows that only a days after losing his No. 1 ranking to Rafael; Nadal, he is fighting to get it back. His 6-1, 3-6, 7-6(3) defeat of Juan Del Potro marked his seventh trophy in China and fifth of the season, He has won his last 20 matches in the country going back three years.

 

 

Kerbet Gets Final Singles Spot in Istanbul

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) announced that Germany’s Angelique Kerber has earned the eighth and final singles place at the TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships, to be staged at the Sinan Erdem Dome in Istanbul, Turkey, from October 22-27, 2013. Kerber secured her spot by advancing to the semifinals of the Generali Ladies Linz in Austria.

 

Federer Sees Lack of  Youth Movement In the Men’s Game

As he heads back to Europe after third-round disappointment at the Shanghai Masters, Roger Federer says he's surprised at the lack of a true youth movement in the current men's game. The senior member of the triumvirate which has dominated the ATP over various periods during the past decade - Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are also included - can't see much in the way of teenaged talent on the men's side.

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies.
