Andre Agassi And Jim Courier Are Now Friends

Old junior rivals Andre Agassi and Jim Courier have come a long way from their younger days on the pro tour, when they didn't even speak.

Both men trained at the Nick Bollettieri Academy and Courier admits that there were times that he was jealous of the attention that Agassi was getting.

 

Tsonga Asks For Clarity In Drug Action

As Marin Cilic made winning comeback to ATP World Tour action after a shortened ban for breaking anti-doping regulations, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga made an impassioned plea at the BNP Paribas Paris Masters for added clarity on the most talked about issue in tennis.

 

 

Nadal Says Number One Ranking Not A Big Thing For Federer Or Him

Rafael Nadal believes that for himself and Roger Federer, gaining or holding the No. 1 ranking is old news at this stage in their storied careers. The No. 1 Spaniard made his return to the Paris Masters after a four-year absence and said that his only worry is feeling healthy.

 

 

Cilic Puts Aside Any Hard Feelings

Marin Cilic will be considering his participation in this week's Paris Masters as "gift of the year" after suspension of his sanctions for testing positive for a banned substance. The Croatian, now ranked 47th after last playing at Wimbledon when the controversy broke over a positive test for the stimulant nikethamide, will open with a qualifier at the Bercy arena in the first round.

 

 

Bouchard Climbing Up The Rankings

Teenager Genie Bouchard has made a huge leap in the past year, climbing 115 ranking spots to No 32, which could have her seeded at a slam.  The 19-year-old   Canadian had a strong fall season, reaching the semis of Quebec City, upending Sloane Stephens and Jelena Jankovic to reach the quarters of Tokyo, qualifying and winning match in Beijing and then reaching the final of Osaka.

 

Tsonga Had A Chance For London

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga became the first of the major competitors to exit the race for the World Tour Finals after trying and failing to play on a wounded knee at the Paris Masters. The Frenchman was beaten in a first-round comeback at the Paris Masters by Japan's Kei Nishikori and will now have a month or more to get his dodgy knee into shape for 2014.

A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies.
