Nadal Clinches Number One ATP Ranking

Rafael Nadal has clinched the year-end No. 1 Emirates ATP Ranking for a third time after recording his second match win in Group B against Stanislas Wawrinka at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals on Wednesday afternoon.

 

 

Nadal Is Shocked To End The Year At Number One

Rafael Nadal has returned to the year-end No. 1 three years after last holding it as the Spaniard capped a miracle comeback season after winning a second group match at the World Tour Finals. And Nadal could not be e more thrilled.

"It's an emotional thing for me, for sure.  In the same time be able to qualify for the semi-finals is an extra thing.  And the good thing is after two matches now, I can really be focused only on the tournament because the year end is over."

 

US May Have A Clay Court For Davis Cup Tie In January

United States Davis Cup captain Jim Courier is expected to order a slow red-clay court on the San Diego Chargers’ Petco Park for next year’s Davis Cup World Group opener against Great Britain because the surface is believed to be the most alien to Andy Murray and the rest of the visiting team.

 

 

Indian Wells Tickets Now On Sale

Daily tickets and Daily Double packages for the BNP Paribas Open, the most-attended ATP World Tour and WTA tennis tournament in the world, to be held March 3-16, 2014, are now on sale, it was announced by Steve Simon, tournament director. 

 

 

Stosur Hires Maclagan As Her Coach

Samantha Stosur, determined to recapture a place in the world’s top ten after slipping down to 18th position on the WTA computer has appointed the Zambian-born former British Davis Cup player Miles Maclagan, as her new coach.

 

 

 

SCTA And TGA Team Up

The Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA) and its national youth tennis partner, TGA Premier Youth Tennis (TGA), launches its new after-school tennis enrichment programs in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) beginning this week.

A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
