Wins Major British Honor
that Andy Murray, Britain’s first Wimbledon male singles champion for 77

Barty Wants Spot In
doubles partner Casey Dellacqua claiming an automatic spot in the
Australian Open field with her finals victory at the weekend in the
grand slam playoffs in Melbourne, Ash Barty is now keen to make sure she
also takes a spot in the major.
Ljubicic Believe ATP Board
Should Work Together
ATP Players Council president Ivan Ljubicic put a tremendous amount of
time into politicking for the betterment of his sport during his long
playing career, but he retired in April of 2013 and is now coaching
world No. 11 Milos Raonic.
Ljubicic is not as involved in tour politics
as much as he used to be, but still has strong opinions on where tennis
was and where it is headed. He also served as an ATP Board of Directors
member for short term. He was not impressed at his co- board members
willingness to compromise.
Dokic Examines Her Future
Dokic will take a pause to ponder the viability of her tennis career at
age 30 as she joins the commentary team for the Hopman Cup in Perth
starting December 28. Dokic, currently without a ranking and a
first-round loser at the Australian Open pre-qualifying event, has not
played a professional match since late 2012 due to her continuing run of
injuries, bad luck and illness.
