Sharapova Reveals What She Has Been Up To

plasma injections and shock-wave therapy to overcome the right shoulder
issues that kept her off court for the entire late summer and fall
season including the US Open.
Will Return To The Tour Next Week
collecting just about every award has to offer, albeit from a
considerable distance while still ensconced in his Miami training base,
Andy Murray has finally given the thumbs up to his return to action
after back surgery and officially announced he will be playing next
week’s Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Rosset Doesn’t Like Where Tennis Has Gone
Marc Rosset has delved into nostalgia, telling the Swiss Tennis magazine
Smash that he longs for the game of the past when the fields at the
grand slams were more wide open than they are today. The 43-year-old who
won the 1992 Olympic gold medal at Barcelona during only the second time
the sport was staged in the open tennis era, said that today's game is
locked in a straightjacket of winners: compatriot Roger Federer, Rafael
Nadal, Novak Djokovic and possibly Andy Murray.
Jude honored with Golden Achievement Award
International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum and the International Tennis
Federation have presented the 2014 Golden Achievement Award to David
Jude, a longtime volunteer leader in the tennis community who served as
Honorary Treasurer of the ITF for 37 years. The Golden Achievement Award
is presented annually to an individual who has made important
contributions internationally to tennis in the fields of administration,
promotion or education, and who has devoted long and outstanding service
to the sport. Jude, who recently retired from the ITF, was honored with
the award at an ITF function in London on Friday.
