SINGLES FINAL REVIEW - WAWRINKA CLAIMS SECOND CHENNAI TITLE

Stanislas Wawrinka topped Edouard Roger-Vasselin in straight sets to win the 2014 singles title at the Aircel Chennai Open in just over an hour and a half.
It was Wawrinka's fifth title on the ATP World Tour and second in Chennai in three finals.
The Swiss, who reached the 300-match win milestone earlier in the week, competed in his 500th career match on Sunday.
Wawrinka saved 19 of 22 break points faced and did not relinquish a set all week.
Roger-Vasselin ascends to a career-high World No. 40 with his run to the final, the second of his career (Delray Beach 2013).

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID:

Wawrinka
: "I was really happy with the way I was playing. In the end I think I served well and played aggressive. Edouard is a tough player to beat. I lost against him last year in Basel. He was playing really good this week.

"I need to keep practising and keep going for the rest of the year because it's only one week. I need to keep pushing myself to try to improve."

Roger-Vasselin: "After this final I can say it was a great week for me. I have positive feelings from this week...Every week is different and I have to be focused on my game. Of course it gives me a lot of confidence for the rest of the season."

DOUBLES FINAL REVIEW - BRUNSTROM/NIELSEN WIN FIRST TITLE AS TEAM

Johan Brunstrom and Frederik Nielsen won their first ATP World Tour doubles title together in their third final.
It was Brunstrom's fourth doubles crown and Nielsen's second overall.
The runners-up, Marin Draganja and Mate Pavic, were competing in their first final together.

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID:

Nielsen
: "Its a really good start for us. Johan came off surgery in the winter and its been a while since we played together. We swapped sides before the season so we didnt really know where we were going to stand this week. I think we played very well and complimented each other really well.

All the years we played together and all the work we put in to try and find a good partnership paid off this week. We came through a tough tournament and played some good tennis. I managed to get my first title with Johan which is fantastic. He is a really good friend of mine and its a pleasure to share an experience with a really good friend.

Brunstrom: "In the start of the season is tough to get a win right and get a good start so you are really into it and building up confidence into Australia. Like Frederik said, it just makes it so much more fun when you play with a good friend as well."
