Del Potro Has Only Two Racquets Left

Some players can play with just about any old frame. Other feel like their racquet is an extension of their body. That’s the case with Juan Martin Del Potro, who only has two Wilson frames left that he is currently using.

He tried out some new racquets during the off season but wasn't quite satisfied with them. He feels like the company is close to coming up with a frame that he will be pleased with, but he wasn't ready to bring one of them to the Australian Open.


Pironkova Is No Longer A Mess

Bulgaria’s Tsvetana Pironkova has been a Wimbledon sensation, reaching the semifinals in 2010 and the quarters in 2011. A tricky, unorthodox player. She confounded foes on the grass.

She was never very impressive off the turf, but in 2012 she reached the fourth round of the US Open. She has put together four top 50 seasons, which is not an elite level ranking wise, but respectable nonetheless.


At Last Murray Has An Enjoyable Day On Court

Six months to the day since winning the Wimbledon title, Andy Murray insisted he’d experienced the personally most enjoyable day on a tennis court since and the pessimism he announced about his Australian Open less than a week ago noticeably lifted from the Scot.



Loehr And Verdieck To Be Inducted Into PTR Hall Of Fame

Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced that two coaching legends - Dr. Jim Loehr and Jim Verdieck - will be inducted into the PTR Hall of Fame.  
The induction will take place Thursday, February 20, at the organization’s annual awards banquet during the PTR International Tennis Symposium on Hilton Head Island.  Loehr and Verdieck join Dennis Van der Meer in the PTR Hall of Fame.

A Collection of Tennis Images For Sale

A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
