British Press Slam Courier’s Demeanor During Davis Cup Play

From a British perspective, the captaincy of Jim Courier in the United States’ humiliating home Davis Cup defeat at the hands of Andy Murray and the rest of the British team, left a lot to be desired.

Courier’s demeanor in leading his team was severely criticized in the British media from his decision to wear a sharp suit and designer sunglasses rather than a team track suit throughout the three days to the way he struggled to give his team, and Sam Querrey in particular, any compassionate support from the sidelines.

 

Hewitt Not Happy With Davis Cup Drug Testing

Lleyton Hewitt has given a serve to anti-doping protocols in Davis Cup after he was delayed two hours after losing a match by anti-doping functionaries at the first round tie in France. Besides going down 5-0 to the hosts, the long-time Australian stalwart was fuming at his treatment at the hands of the paper-shufflers.
 

 

Murray Targets Davis Cup In 2014

Andy Murray has never been a fan of anybody who makes ludicrous remarks simply for effect. In fact he downright treats them with total derision and so when he insists Britain’s Davis Cup team have now set their sights on winning the trophy for the first time since 1936, it’s time to take notice.
 

 

 

Ankle Injury Forces Raonic Out of Zagreb

An ankle injury which occurred at the Australian Open but which barely came to light is starting to impact the ATP schedule of Milos Raonic, with the Canadian joining a parade of pull-outs from the Zagreb event this week. The No. 11 missed Davis Cup first-round play at the weekend in Tokyo and is now unable to begin his European indoor season.

The College Park Tennis Club (CPTC) is interviewing for a full time sales manager.   Benefits include health insurance.

The CPTC is a premiere tennis club located just outside downtown Washington, DC.  The College Park Tennis Club is a USTA Regional Training Center, home of the Junior Tennis Champions Center training program, as well as, the University of Maryland tennis team. The CPTC is an award-winning facility and is recognized as one of the most comprehensive tennis venues in the United States.

Sales Manager is responsible for new memberships and retention.  Duties include internal and external lead generation, networking, prospecting, tours, corporate outreach and helping promote our patented beginner tennis program, Rally in 10. A professional tennis photographer has been shooting for almost 40 years at all the major and minor tennis tournaments for the wires systems, daily newspapers, magazines and advertising agencies. He has been to venues all over the world and has compiled tennis images (archives) of all the professionals and some juniors.  The images have all been preserved in a temperature-controlled environment and are color positives (slides), color and black & white negatives and contact sheets, as well as digital.
