Nadal Gets Two Time Violations in Monte Carlo Match

Rafael Nadal said umpires are becoming redundant if they do not use their discretion during matches. The world No. 1 was calling for flexibility in enforcing the time violations rule.

Nadal received a time violation twice in his third round match against Gabashvili, complaining extensively to the umpire Pascal Maria after getting one when at 30-40, 4-0 in the second set.

 

Nishikori Brings Chang To Europe 

Kei Nishikori has imported his VIP coach Michael Chang from the US to bolster a return to tennis after injury as he plays the Barcelona Open next week. Nishikori, ranked 17th, has already hit the clay with 1989 French Open champion Chang at the Real Club de Tenis as Japan's No. 1 tests himself after withdrawing before Miami semi-final three weeks ago.

 

Wildcard Distribution Being Scrutinized

Wildcards can cause contention among players and their representatives. Sam Duvall, tennis agent and VP for Lagardere, told Forbes he has "mixed feelings" about wildcards.

 

Murray Likely To Be The Only Brit In French Open

Clay-averse Wimbledon winner Andy Murray will likely be the lone Briton in any singles draw at the French Open after a pair of low-ranked women players missed the cut-off for entry, into Roland Garros from May 25. Heather Watson (121st) and Johanna Konta (117th) will have to play qualifying rounds if they wants a chance, while British women's No. 1 Laura Robson is out for months as she undergoes wrist surgery in the US.

One of the most prestigious clubs in North Carolina with 1,500 members, 2 facilities totaling 14 courts, 11 outdoor clay courts and 3 indoor hard courts, is seeking a dynamic high energy creative Teaching Professional.  Recent collegiate and tournament playing experience is needed in addition to a minimum 2 years of full time club experience teaching juniors of all levels and women’s competitive teams.

Looking for an innovative and motivated professional who is willing to help develop, organize and teach women’s competitive teams, junior programs (of all levels from 10-under to tournament juniors) in addition to teaching private lessons. The program consists of 130 women team tennis players, 60 men players and over 100 junior players.  There is a teaching staff totaling 3 full time professionals that all work together and report to the Tennis Director.  All 3 pros also help organize and run social and special events.

This is a chance to receive the education and experience needed to become a future Tennis Director. Excellent opportunity for a professional to be under a Director who has placed numerous individuals in Directors positions across the country.

Compensation includes: above average base salary and commission on lessons and clinics.  $60,000-$70,000 potential earnings.
