USTA Supported The 2014 White House Easter Egg Roll

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) announced that it will contribute to the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks, to support the 2014 White House Easter Egg Roll.

“The USTA is honored to again be part of the White House Easter Egg Roll,” said Dave Haggerty, USTA Chairman, CEO and President. “The day allows us a wonderful opportunity to introduce more young people to tennis, and to emphasize our support of the First Lady’s “Let’s Move!” initiative.

Novak Djokovic is working for a quick return to the ATP clay wars after losing his Monte Carlos semi-final to Roger Federer 7-5, 6-2, while playing in pain with a right wrist problem.

The world No. 2 said doctors tell him while he will not require surgery on the right wrist problem, he will need to rest - and that means no tennis, with perhaps a possible absence from the Madrid Masters starting in a fortnight.

One of the most prestigious clubs in North Carolina with 1,500 members, 2 facilities totaling 14 courts, 11 outdoor clay courts and 3 indoor hard courts, is seeking a dynamic high energy creative Teaching Professional.  Recent collegiate and tournament playing experience is needed in addition to a minimum 2 years of full time club experience teaching juniors of all levels and women’s competitive teams.

Looking for an innovative and motivated professional who is willing to help develop, organize and teach women’s competitive teams, junior programs (of all levels from 10-under to tournament juniors) in addition to teaching private lessons. The program consists of 130 women team tennis players, 60 men players and over 100 junior players.  There is a teaching staff totaling 3 full time professionals that all work together and report to the Tennis Director.  All 3 pros also help organize and run social and special events.
