Haas Stumping For Stich For
President Of German Tennis Federation
Being the head of the German
tennis federation should be a paid, full-time job,
according to Tommy Haas, who would like to see Michael
Stich in the position.
Wrist Specialist Sees Increase
In Player Wrist Injuries
Wrist injuries have affected
several top players this season, with Juan Martin del
Potro and Laura Robson having surgeries and Novak
Djokovic, Caroline Wozniacki and Sloane Stephens all
experiencing wrist problems.
The orthopedic surgeon who
operated on del Potro and Robson sees serious wrist
issues increasing for top players. "I do sense that the
top players, the very elite touring pros, are
experiencing injuries sufficient to take them out of the
sport for some period [of] time at a higher rate," Dr.
Richard Berger told the New York Times.
Murray Is A Rich Man
Andy Murray is the sixth richest
sportsperson in Britain, according to the Sunday Times.
The newspaper estimated Murray as having 40 million
pounds ($67 million), an increase of 8 million pounds
($11 million) since his Wimbledon victory.

Oeiras second seed Milos Raonic
found his sea legs at just the right moment as he took
part in a publicity activity for the 2015 Lisbon stop of
the Volvo Ocean race prior to getting started at the
Portugal Open tennis.
