GULBIS EXTENDS PERFECT RECORD IN FINALS; KLIZAN/OSWALD WIN DOUBLES TITLE
•    Ernests Gulbis remained perfect in ATP World Tour finals (6-0), requiring 98 minutes to dispatch Federico Delbonis for the Open de Nice Côte d’Azur title. It was his first clay crown.
•    Gulbis is the seventh multiple-title winner this year after prevailing at nearby Marseille in February.
•    Delbonis, who picked up the Sao Paulo title in February, dropped to a 1-2 record in title matches.
•    Martin Klizan and Philipp Oswald needed just 52 minutes to win their first ATP World Tour team doubles title, breaking serve five times.

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID

Gulbis:
"I am really happy to win here. My next goal is to be Top 10 [of the Emirates ATP Rankings], even Top 8. I think if I play well in the Grand Slams, I have a good chance. It’s tough to kick out somebody from the top as there are a lot of good players, but I am working on it.

"I really like the South of France. I think I will be coming here on vacation and I think you are going to see me a lot around this area."

Delbonis: "He played well. I didn't start the best way and he broke me twice. In the second set, I gave my best [and] it was more equal. I had my chances, but [I] couldn't take them because he served well. I'm happy for this week and although this match wasn't the best, I'm happy for playing it."

Klizan: "Thank you to Philipp. We entered the doubles 10 minutes before the deadline. So it was a good result. I think we’ll play together in tournaments in the future. I would like to come back here again next year."

Oswald: "It's been an unbelievable week for both of us. Martin and I literally agreed to play together 15 minutes before the deadline. It's been a great experience to play with him. He is a great player overall and he returns really, really well. It's been a wonderful week here in Nice."
