Serena Williams could not be less impressed with her 2014 season after crashing out 6-2, 6-2 to Garbine Muguruza in the second round of the French Open in her worst Roland Garros performance since losing in the 2012 opening round.

Na Li admitted she is finding she is not able to implement her game after exiting in the first round of the French Open, the first time she has been defeated in her opening match at the event since breaking into the top 100.

 

Wozniacki’s Agent Advised Her To Skip Paris

Caroline Wozniacki’s agent with Lagardere Unlimited John Tobias recommended her not to even travel to Paris to play the French Open following the high profile end of her engagement to champion golfer Rory McIlroy. The former world no.1 thought otherwise but after her not unpredictable first round exit to Yanina Wickmayer she now has almost four weeks before the start of Wimbledon  to regroup.

The Wilson business is structured into three business areas: Racquet Sports, Team Sports and Golf.

We are currently looking for a Racquet Sports Territory Manager in the Tampa/Clearwater, Florida region. The Territory Sales Manager manages the sales efforts and operations for a defined territory to achieve and exceed revenue targets and market share growth objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

·         Achieve the annual territory sales plan revenue and distribution objectives in the defined territory and meet the annual key product category objectives.

·         Develop, plan, and execute a strategic sales plan in selling to and managing Team Dealers, Sporting Goods Retailers, Mass Merchants and other trade channels.

·         Maximize in-person contact and sales call coverage with assigned accounts, colleges, universities, high schools, travel organizations and leagues.

·         Recruit and manage high visibility teaching pros to enhance the promotion of Wilson Racquet Sports.

·         Increase Wilson’s brand presence and image with customers and consumers through promotional activity.

·         Develop annual business plan designed to deliver account objectives of assigned accounts.

·         Aggressively seek out and develop new business partners and accounts strategically within territory.

·         Keep Regional Manager informed of trade related information on an ongoing basis.

·         Develop and maintain great working relationships with key personnel in each account.

·         Develop layouts/merchandising concepts for accounts to ensure distribution/merchandising objectives are met.

·         Complete all reports and records on a timely basis.

·         Prepare and review each account’s performance in a business review each quarter.

Required Education & Experience

·         Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent work experience may be substituted

·         2-3 years sales experience in packaged goods or related industry

·         Tennis industry selling experience preferred

Qualifications, Skills, Abilities & Competencies    

·         Demonstrated ability to sell, influence and negotiate

·         Strong oral and written communication skills required within and outside the organization

·         Excellent organizational skills, analytical ability and strategic planning

·         Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Products:  Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point

·         Knowledge of SAP is preferred

·         Extensive travel required

·         Must have reliable transportation

·         Home office environment required

·         Strong knowledge of the sport of tennis and indoor sports
