CUEVAS CAPTURES FIRST TITLE; BRUNSTROM/MONROE PREVAIL
• Cuevas cruised to his first tour-level title in Bastad, routing Sousa in 59 minutes.
• He becomes the first Uruguayan champion on the ATP World Tour since five-time titlist Marcelo Filippini triumphed in St. Poelten, Austria, in May 1997.
• The 28 year old is the third first-time winner this year, after Federico Delbonis in Sao Paulo (d. Lorenzi) and Roberto Bautista Agut in ‘s-Hertogenbosch (d. Becker).
• Sousa was vying for his second ATP World Tour crown, having triumphed on the hard courts of Kuala Lumpur in 2013 (d. Benneteau).
• Fourth seeds Brunstrom and Monroe won their first team title in one hour and 45 minutes. Monroe, who won in Bastad last year with Simon Stadler, is 2-2 in finals, while Brunstrom improved to 5-13 in title matches.

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Cuevas: "This is an amazing week. Today I played unbelievable. I'm so happy to win my first title. This city is beautiful and for sure I'll be back next year."

Monroe: "To get into the final is obviously the goal of every tournament. It doesn't happen every week so we're definitely happy to be here and we're happy to put on some good tennis and come away with the win."

Brunstrom: "It's very special. It's a fantastic feeling to win on my home court, in front of my friends and family, to share it with all of them."
