Doubles - Final
C Guccione (AUS) / L Hewitt (AUS) d J Erlich (ISR) / R Ram (USA) 75 64

Hewitt claimed the singles and doubles titles in the same week for the first time, becoming the fifth player to complete the sweep in Newport.
Hewitt won his 30th singles title and second of the season (Brisbane) after edging Karlovic in two hours and 30 minutes.
He became the fourth active player with 30-or-more titles, joining Roger Federer (79), Rafael Nadal (64) and Novak Djokovic (45).
The former World No. 1 improved on runner-up finishes in Newport for the past two years (2012 - l. to Isner, 2013 - l. to Mahut).
Karlovic was looking to win his third grass-court title, following triumphs in Nottingham in 2007-08.
Guccione and Hewitt earned their first team title with victory over former Newport doubles champions Ram (2009 w/ Kerr) and Erlich (2000 w/ Levy).

Hewitt: "I felt relief to have finally won here. Its an important tournament. For me, Ive come here the last three years and have come awfully close the last two years. Its nice to be rewarded today."

"We had tough conditions today, especially for serving. I was just trying to play clean tennis as much as possible. From the baseline I was able to adjust to wind better than [Karlovic]."

"It was good to win [doubles] with 'Gooch' - wed never won a title together before. Weve played some big matches, in Davis Cup. It was important for us to win. Im pretty pumped about it."

Karlovic: "Hewitt returned really well. He rarely missed. I didnt have my normal serve because it was windy. I was committing a lot of double faults and missing volleys - both of which I dont normally do. That was because of the wind and because Hewitt was always right there.

Im a little disappointed but overall it was a good week."

Guccione: "Its nice to finally cross the line and have a victory.
