Djokovic Credits Becker For His Wimbledon Success

World no.1 and recently crowned Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic concedes Boris Becker inclusion in his team made the difference between finally winning a Grand Slam title again after a run of three successive disappointments in major finals. But Becker revealed their partnership has not always been a harmonious one.

“We are two different people and it took time to start understanding one another," said Becker. “A friendship? Well, let's say that Novak is not the person I would want to take with me on a weekend in Ibiza.”

British Player Sets Record For Coaching Session

Former British Davis Cup player and current day Sky Sports commentator Barry Cowan has earned a place in the world famed Guinness Book of Records by holding the largest-ever tennis coaching session.

Cowan and selected fellow trainers simultaneously coached 680 children in Liverpool before the city’s Hope International tournament last month, surpassing the previous highest of 406 trained by Judy Murray in New York earlier this year.
