Seles to officially open Toronto's Rexall Centre as WTA event site |
Monica Seles, on the mend from stress fracture of her left foot, has agreed to be a special guest at the grand opening of Toronto’s Rexall Centre as a WTA event, site of the Rogers Cup August 13-21.
On Sunday August 14th, Seles will co-host the “Aces are Wild” fundraising gala with all the stars of the tournament which is designed to raise funds for young tennis players in Canada. A ˝ hour tennis lesson from Seles will be among the featured items up for auction.
Seles is a four-time champion of the Canadian tournament and counts Toronto as one of her favorite cities.
She is in her second year of being a spokesperson for American Express, who is now the presenting sponsor of the event in Toronto. |
