JSM Challenger Tennis News

As the 2015 JSM Challenger quarterfinals finished up today, two qualifiers and two unseeded players remain in the main draw of singles. As for doubles, the top two seeds will continue on to the semifinals of the main draw. Play will continue tomorrow Nov. 20 at noon and 5:30pm at the Atkins Tennis Center in Champaign.

In the quarterfinals today, the No. 1 American junior Taylor Fritz defeated the top seed Malek Jaziri of Tunisia. Other qualifier and current UCLA All-American Mackenzie McDonald defeated unseeded Mitchell Krueger in straight sets. Henri Laaksonen of Switzerland, the only non-American remaining in the tournament, defeated Eric Quigley 6-1 in the final set.
