Trevor Kronemann, the popular and personable men’s tennis coach at University of California, Irvine, has been named the Southern California Tennis Association (SCTA) Director of Junior Tennis. He will officially begin his duties at the organization’s headquarters on the campus of UCLA, November 2nd.

During his intercollegiate competitive career, Kronemann played for legendary coach, Greg Patton, (now men’s coach at Boise State University in Idaho), at UCI and was a six-time All-American. In 1990 he was the Big West Player of the Year. His success earned him a spot in the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 1999.

In his nine-years as a professional, he was a superlative doubles player. He won six titles and also served as an ATP Tour Council Vice President in 1995.

In 2007 and ’08, he became a Director at Large on the USTA Board. Kronemann additionally served on the Audit, Nominating, as well as the Budget and Finance Committees. He was also Board Liaison to the Administration/ Operations Council.

Prior to his arrival at UCI in the fall of 2006, Kronemann coached at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo from 2002 to ’06. His varied experiences encompass being a World TeamTennis competitor as a player. He was the 1990 WTT Rookie of the Year, and to top it off, he was included in the World TeamTennis 30, a group of the best men and women’s in WTT’s 30-year history.

Looking ahead, Kronemann admitted, “I’m really excited for this new journey and look forward to all that’s involved.”
