The BNP Paribas Open, to be held March 7-20, 2016 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, has donated $16,500 to local non-profit organizations, which was raised by allocating one dollar from every daily loge and grandstand ticket sold in the months of October and December, it was announced by Chief Executive Officer Raymond Moore.

In October, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the tournament benefited the Eisenhower Schnitzer/Novack Breast Center and the Desert Cancer Foundation.

In December, as part of an annual holiday promotion, the BNP Paribas Open donated to The National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) Network, founded in 1968 by Charlie Pasarell, the late Arthur Ashe and Sheridan Snyder, a non-profit organization that reaches out to children through recreational tennis programs to help promote the positive attributes of sportsmanship, self-esteem and fitness. The Coachella Valley chapter of the National Junior Tennis & Learning Network continues to reach out to children ages 5 to 18 across the Valley by providing programs that promote education and a healthy lifestyle.

“Our ongoing commitment to NJTL has been very beneficial, and we look forward to continuing to build upon our efforts in the future,” said Moore.
