Rachel Dagen has been appointed the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer & Special Projects Coordinator. Dagen began her duties with the ITA on March 1.

“Rachel’s impressive educational background and work experience are a perfect match for her new role,” said ITA CEO Timothy Russell. “She came highly recommended as a ‘can do’ person committed to serving coaches and players. With so much to be done in moving college tennis forward, I am absolutely thrilled that Rachel accepted the call to help serve our sport.”

At the ITA, Dagen will serve as Administrative Assistant to the CEO and ITA Board of Directors, provide assistance and support to the ITA’s fund-raising/development efforts, provide operational support for ITA events, including: the annual ITA Coaches’ Convention, ITA Arthur Ashe Jr./All-Star outing and Board of Directors meetings. In addition, she will also administer the ITA David A Benjamin Achievement Award, administer the ITA Meritorious Service Award, provide assistance to the Men’s and Women’s Tennis Halls of Fame, serve as the ITA Office Manager, and provide additional support as needed.

Prior to joining the ITA, Dagen worked at the University of Kansas as the Administration Assistant to the Head Coach for Women’s Basketball. She managed the day-to-day functions and operations for the women’s basketball suite and offices. While at Kansas, she also was a Staff Diversity Committee Member.

“I’m really excited for Rachel to join our team,” said ITA COO Erica Perkins Jasper. “Her experience on a campus in the high demand world of college athletics will help her seamlessly transition to #TeamITA.”

Dagen earned a bachelor’s degree in communications at Arizona State State University in August 2008, and went on to earn a master’s in athletic administration from Western Kentucky University in May 2012.

“I am very excited about working with Tim Russell and the rest of the ITA team,” said Dagen. “I look forward to serving all of the ITA members and helping to grow the sport of college tennis.”
