The deal will see Citi become the presenting sponsor of the team. The credit card corporation will receive signage at the team’s location of Forest Hills, and also have VIP hospitality.
“We are proud to have the power of Citi join us to bring back professional tennis for our inaugural season in Forest Hills,” said team official Colleen Hopkins in a statement. “There are few brands more ingrained in the fabric of New York and their participation speaks volumes about where we all think the Empire will be going.”
Andy Roddick is among the players scheduled to compete in the team’s first season in the six-team league.
Financial terms of the deal were not given.
