The site of the ATP Paris Masters, formerly Le Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy, will be called l’AccorHotels Arena POPB, reopening following a renovation and a lucrative naming deal.

The arena in Bercy, which also holds concerts and other sport events through the year, is undergoing a multi-million Euro sprucing up before the tournament. It will reopen in two weeks with a capacity of 20,000 in total, up from 17,000, though fewer seating will be set up for watching the top men compete in the long-running indoor event.

The hotel company is paying 4.15 million Euros to be associated with the stadium, 3.35 million Euros of which is for naming rights. The local government will receive 1 million Euros of this amount.

Prior to the renovation, capacity had been reduced to allow construction to occur, but tournament director Guy Forget said, “The new hall is going to be one of the best in Europe.”

The 3.8 million Euro tournament is played just before the ATP Finals. Novak Djokovic is the defending champion.
