Banking giant JP Morgan, which signed on as the official bank of the Dubai Duty Free championships a year ago, announced that it is renewing its association with the tournament.

“We are proud to be one of the lead sponsors of the tournament again this year. It allows us an opportunity to share our love of tennis and highlight our ongoing commitment to the region,” said Sjoerd Leenart, Senior Country Officer for J.P. Morgan Middle East, Turkey and Africa, in a statement. “The Dubai Duty Free Championships is a wonderful event which always gets a fantastic response from players and spectators. We are truly looking forward to witnessing some great tennis and are confident it will be a very memorable event.”

The company has had a long presence in the region and has also become involved in promoting the sport itself. In addition to sponsoring the tournament’s ATP and WTA Kids days, it is also funding grassroots initiatives designed to increase participation.
