Memphis Open announced the three confirmed wild card players for the Memphis Open presented by ServiceMaster February 6 – 14, 2016 will be Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, and Frances Tiafoe. Fritz, Paul, and Tiafoe are all 18 years old making the Memphis Open presented by ServiceMaster 2016 the first time in history wild cards have been awarded solely to teenagers. Tickets for the Memphis Open presented by ServiceMaster start at $10 and are available at www.memphisopen.com. The Memphis Open celebrates 40 years at the Racquet Club of Memphis in 2016.

The three wild cards are top young American tennis professionals working their way up the rankings on the ATP World Tour. Paul won the Roland Garros junior title last year defeating Fritz. Fritz won the US Open junior title defeating Paul. Tiafoe played in the main draw at Roland Garros and US Open, the first Grand Slam tournaments of his career.

“The Memphis Open has traditionally been a stepping stone for great Amerian tennis careers producing a who’s who of American tennis winners so in that tradition we are very excited to announce these promising young players as Memphis Open presented by ServiceMaster wild card spots. The Memphis Open has played host to a number of young American tennis talents who have gone on to greatness in the world of tennis such as Agassi, Connors, Courier, Sampras, and Roddick just to name a few. It is noteworthy to mention that the well-accomplished American tennis professional Michael Chang received a wild card to play his first pro tournament in Memphis in 1988 and went on to win the French Open in 1989.
