ITF Announces Davis Cup
Nominations

The ITF has announced the
official team nominations for the Davis Cup World Group
semifinals, World Group play-offs and Zone Group ties
taking place September 18-20. A total of 18 ties will be
held next week.

Tomic Has Turned Around And
Wants To Play Davis Cup

Bernard Tomic has done a 180
degree turn and maintained he is ready and willing to
return to the Australian Davis Cup team for next week’s
World Group  semi-final tie against Great Britain, so
long as captain Wally Masur wants him.

 

Anderson Brings Murray’s Record
To An End

Former US Open champion Andy
Murray’s proud record on reaching at least the
quarter-final stage of 18 successive Grand Slam
tournaments has been brought to an end by his US Open
fourth round defeat inflicted by Kevin Anderson.

 

Locker Room Accident Forces
Bouchard Out Of The US Open

A locker room fall which
resulted in a head injury forced Canadian Eugenie
Bouchard to withdraw at the weekend from both women’s
doubles and the mixed event after what US Open officials
said was a head injury suffered by the 25th seed.
