Williams College, winners of seven of the last eight NCAA Division III Women’s National Championships, including 2015, are the No. 1-ranked team in the 2015-16 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III Women’s Fall National Rankings, as announced today by Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Ephs were a perfect 25-0 last season and earned the season-ending No. 1 national ranking in the process. Emory, runners-up to Williams in 2015, are the No. 2 team in the 2015-16 rankings. Amherst (No. 3), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (No. 4), Middlebury (No. 5), Carnegie Mellon (No. 6), Pomona-Pitzer (No. 7), Bowdoin (No. 8), MIT (No. 9) and Washington & Lee round out the top 10 team rankings.

Eudice Chong of Wesleyan, the defending NCAA National Singles Champion, is the No. 1-ranked player in the national singles rankings. Chong won the Division III singles title at the 2015 National Small College Championships in October.

Ashnaa Rao of Johns Hopkins finished the 2014-15 season ranked No. 17 in the nation, enters the 2015-16 season ranked second. Taylor Cosme of Emory, Ariana Iranpour of Chicago and Megan Humphreys of UW-Whitewater occupy the No.’s 3-5 positions.

Completing the top 10 are Joy Kim of Pomona-Pitzer (No. 6), Summer Garrison of Lewis and Clark (No. 7), Juli Raventos of Williams (No. 8), Victoria Yu of Wesleyan (No. 9) and Kayla Casey of East Texas Baptist (No. 10).

In doubles, a pair of teams not listed in the final 2014-15 national rankings hold the No. 1 and 2 spots entering the 2015-16 season. Chong and Yu of Wesleyan are No. 1, with Emory’s Katarina Su and Bridget Harding at No. 2.

Caroline Ward and Katie Kuosman of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps are ranked third after ending the 2014-15 season as the No. 2-ranked team. Juli Raventos and Linda Shin of Williams, who defeated Ward and Kuosman for the NCAA National Doubles Championship in 2015, are ranked sixth after ending last season atop the national rankings.
