The BNP Paribas Open is now recruiting volunteers for the 2016 tournament, to be held March 7-20 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. More than 1,200 volunteers are needed to staff numerous positions throughout the event, with ushers being the largest committee to provide directions and check tickets for fans on all nine match courts.

“It’s a first-class tournament, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it,” said Missouri native Terry Proffitt, who along with his wife Karen has volunteered at the BNP Paribas Open for more than a decade. “They make us feel very valued and the fans are very, very good to us. That keeps us coming back year after year.”

Those interested are encouraged to complete the online application to be considered as a volunteer for the 2016 BNP Paribas Open. All volunteers are asked to commit to 48 hours of service between Monday, March 7 and Sunday, March 20.

Volunteers not only experience the behind-the-scenes excitement of the most-attended ATP World Tour and WTA event in the world outside of the four Majors, they also receive great benefits including an official FILA uniform, guest tickets, a complimentary program and more.
